Miki Saito
Miki Saito is a composer, vocalist, pianist, Japanese koto and shinobue player, and teacher. Born and raised in Japan, Miki began studying piano at the young age of four and was accepted to a Japanese music conservatory at the age of twelve. For her collegiate studies, she came to the United States to broaden her horizons and follow her passion for music. She holds a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Miki’s compositions cover a variety of genres such as classical, pop, traditional and contemporary Japanese, Christian, opera, lo-fi, and commercial music. In addition to performing and conducting private lessons in-person and virtually, she is a faculty member at Cuyahoga Community College where she teaches voice, piano, and music history.
